National Women’s Prayer Walk

Women of faith, hope, and courage — we invite you to join us! This year marks the 70th anniversary of the historic 1956 Women’s March, a powerful moment in South African history when women stood together for dignity, justice, and equality.
In honour of this legacy, the South African Council of Churches Women’s Forum invites women from across our communities to come together for the National Women’s Prayer Walk — a time to pray, reflect, stand in solidarity, and seek God’s guidance for our nation, our communities, our families, and the generations to come.

🚶🏾‍♀️ The walk begins at 7:30 AM at the Union Buildings and continues to the church.

All women are welcome! Whether you come as an individual, with friends, as part of a church, organisation, or community group, your presence matters.
Let us walk together in prayer, unity and hope — honouring the women who came before us and lifting our voices for the women and girls of today and tomorrow.
