Zinah Msimang
I am a dedicated individual, 27 years of age, I am committed to my pursuits and have a profound love for various facets of life. My passions include music, creative arts, digital media, and education. I currently live in Bryanston, and have been a follower of Christ since I can remember.

Lungelo Hadebe
I am a 32-year-old based in Lonehill. I am a lastborn – and yes, a Mama’s boy! I love people and am a sucker for diversity and inclusion. When I’m not cooking, I’m probably trying to help someone with getting help for dialysis…talk to me if you want to find out more about this.

Francois Pretorius
I grew up in the Christian faith and have been a practicing Christian my whole life. I live in Carlswald adjacent to Kyalami and am divorced. I am a motorsport fan and have been a competitor and an administrator.

Molemoeng “Mole” Bokgwathile
I am a married mother of 3 kids and 5 grandkids. Our family home is in Northriding. I enjoy Bible study, praise & worship, watching TV and going on holiday with my family. I also enjoy helping my grandkids with their school work.

Celeste Munro
I am married to David and have two beautiful boys. We are all
involved in the church in different areas, and come to church
together as a family. We stay in the Carlswald area in Midrand.

Rhyn Potgieter
I am husband to Jenny and father to Kate (19) and Grace (17). We have been members of Gracepoint since 2004. My hobbies include watching rugby and cricket, travel and spending time with friends and family.

About Me:

What do I do between Monday and Friday?
I am currently working as a freelance creative, specializing in music production and song-writing, social media management, and content creation. Additionally, I am eagerly preparing to pursue advanced studies in Creative
Enterprise.
Where do I serve at Gracepoint?
From a young age, my involvement with the Gen Now ministry has been a fulfilling journey. I initially began as a leader during Holiday Club, gradually progressing to the role of a youth small group leader. Over time, I extended my service to the Young Adults Ministry and subsequently became a member of the worship team at EDGE Youth. My journey eventually led me to join the Gracepoint worship music team, where I am currently serving now.
For how long have I been worshiping at Gracepoint?
I have been a member of Gracepoint for the better part of 21 years. I’m practically apart of the furniture, Gracepoint has been my home since it started and I am so grateful to have been apart of the journey.
Why have I accepted nomination as a Society Steward?
Having been a part of the Gracepoint community for an extended period, witnessing its growth and evolution, and actively contributing through my service has afforded me valuable insights into how I can effect positive change and make a lasting impact within the church. As a young individual under 35, I recognize the significance of utilizing the skills and knowledge I have amassed over the years to enhance the unique experience Gracepoint offers to those who enter its doors. I aspire to play a pivotal role in sustaining Gracepoint’s values, fostering a safe and inclusive environment for individuals seeking to deepen their connection with God. I am eager to contribute to the legacy of a generation that upholds these principles and ensures Gracepoint remains a welcoming space for all.

What do I do between Monday and Friday?
I am a Change Management Consultant with a very keen interest in Employee Engagement, Organisational Culture, Stakeholder Engagement and Management and designing Change Strategies for organisations. I have developed a conceptual framework based on my personal story – the change I have experienced as a result of change and disability. I love changing boring workplaces to happy, fun communities!
Where do I serve at Gracepoint?
I am a local preacher in training. I also serve in the Compassion and Justice ministry. Oh, I am sometimes on Welcoming duty.
For how long have I been worshiping at Gracepoint?
I relocated to Johannesburg in the middle of Covid and was worshipping online. I started attending live services in 2022. I have been part of the Methodist Church from the age of 6 years. I strongly believe in what Gracepoint stands for, but diversity is a winner for me!
Why have I accepted nomination as a Society Steward?
Difficult question…yerr! I feel a deep sense of call to serve the Lord Jesus. I believe the best way to do this is taking an active part in serving his Church. I therefore want to be used by the Lord in uncomfortable spaces. Gracepoint has been a home for me!

About Me:

What do I do between Monday and Friday?
I am a Chartered Accountant and currently consult to various SMME’s and provide accounting services and advice. I enjoy helping people establish businesses and helping them grow.
Where do I serve at Gracepoint?
At Gracepoint I have served on the BOB committee for many years. I aslo serve in AV team and produce the the online stream when I am on duty. I also do voiceovers for GPTV.
For how long have I been worshiping at Gracepoint?
I have been worshipping at Gracepoint since April 2010.
Why have I accepted nomination as a Society Steward?
I am a person that believes in servant leadership and feel called to serve in this capacity at Gracepoint.

Molemoeng “Mole” Bokgwathile – Society Steward Candidate Profile
About Me:
I am a married mother of 3 kids and 5 grandkids. Our family home is in Northriding. I enjoy Bible study, praise & worship, watching TV and going on holiday with my family. I also enjoy helping my grandkids with their school work. I grew up in a Christian home and have been a member of a church for my entire life. In 2003, I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Personal Saviour. I have since studied Theology in Ministry which helped me grew and matured spiritually.
What do I do between Monday and Friday?
I am retired after working in the Public Sector for 39 yrs. Of the 39 yrs, I occupied and served in Senior Management positions for 18 yrs. During the day, I do my Bible study and run errands for my grandkids when necessary.
Where do I serve at Gracepoint?
- I serve as a member of the Altar Prayer group
- I serve as a member of the Communion team for the 10h00 service
- I joined the Alpha journey in 2022 and then volunteered for the 2023 Alpha and presently volunteering for 2024
- I am part of the team that started Women of Grace Ministry in 2022 and volunteered as a Chairperson. The team is still hosting women gatherings through ‘Women of Grace’
- I am a member of the D-Group Thursday (homegroup), lead by Louis, and meets virtually on Thursdays from 6h00 to 7h00
- I also volunteer to collect offerings when requested
For how long have I been worshiping at Gracepoint?
I started worshiping consistently at Gracepoint from 2022 and became a full member after attending a membership course.
Why have I accepted nomination as a Society Steward?
I accepted the nomination because of the following:
- I believe my spiritual growth and maturity can contribute in cooperating with Ministers and other leaders to promote the spiritual and temporal welfare of Gracepoint
- I have acquired administrative skills which will assist in administrative matters of the church
- I will be able to attend all the meetings as expected
- I have ample time to contribute wherever I am needed
- I love to serve in any capacity in Gracepoint

Celeste Munro – Society Steward Candidate Profile
About Me:
I am married to David and have two beautiful boys. We are all involved in the church in different areas, and come to church together as a family. We stay in the Carlswald area in Midrand. We love to go on hikes as a family, the Drakensberg is my favourite place. I enjoy to do yoga, art related activities and read. I have been in the Christian faith since I can remember, and taught Sunday school from my matric year, and during my university years.
What do I do between Monday and Friday?
I work for a mobile communications company, and hold a management position in the Group Finance department. My team is responsible for consolidating the whole group’s financial results. I have four staff members reporting into me. I have been with the company 14 years.
Where do I serve at Gracepoint?
My husband David and I serve once a month at the Kidz Church registration desk. We also helped with the Friday Gap evenings. I am also a member on the GenNow commision. My youngest son and myself serve communion. We assist on a weekly basis with the Gracepoint Parkrun.
For how long have I been worshiping at Gracepoint?
We did our membership course in October 2011, we started worshiping at Gracepoint just before that.
Why have I accepted nomination as a Society Steward?
Gracepoint has given myself and my family the opportunity to grow spiritually in our respective areas, over the years. My oldest son was allowed from grade 3 to do the sound in the Kidz church and today he works on the sound desk in the main sanctuary. My youngest son has Apraxia and the Church has allowed him to serve communion, with his speech disability. Every day we come to church we feel like we belong and that it is our church. I accepted the nomination as I want to give back to the church, for what they give to my family, and help the
church to continue to grow.

About Me:

What do I do between Monday and Friday?
I am an entrepreneur and own a software development business.
Where do I serve at Gracepoint?
I am a firm believer in investing in the under-privileged through upskilling them instead of giving financial aid. I was involved with starting up and running Isifundo which was a computer literacy program facilitated through Gracepoint for about 5 years. Unfortunately, COVID restricted this ministry and I have not had the capacity to restart it.
For how long have I been worshiping at Gracepoint?
We have been members of Gracepoint since 2004.
Why have I accepted nomination as a Society Steward?
I acknowledge my need for God in my life, however, I have a rocky relationship with Him – still a work in progress.
