GAP

Grade 4-6

Gracepoint’s unique ministry for Grade 4 to 6 children.

Gap is not only the children, but encompasses everything from children to parents to leaders and teachers. There is an opportunity for everyone to be part of this amazing ministry! We exist for the teaching and leading of children, promoting faith development and discipleship, as we try to lead our children into becoming authentic followers of Christ.

Welcome to GAP

At GAP, we recognize that providing a safe environment for relationships is an integral part of earning and keeping the trust of children, families and parents. As we lead and disciple, we must make every effort to be wise in all situations. Taking care of each student and keeping them safe is of utmost importance. As GAP leaders, we partner with you, the parents, to care for your child in spiritual, emotional and physical ways.

Sundays @ 8:15AM & 10:00AM, a special time for worship and teaching.

Fridays @ 6:30PM, be on the look out for information on these special Friday Nights!

GAP Sunday Online

What‘s happening at GAP Sunday 2 May?

Over the month of May we will be looking at some lessons from the Godly play curriculum which we believe help establish some faith fundamentals with our GAP children. Some teachings in this Faith Fundamentals series include: The liturgical cycle of the church year, the Holy Bible, the commandments and the Holy Baptism.

Some learnings from today’s lesson: “The Circle of the Church Year”

  • The liturgical cycle of the church year or the circle of the Church year presents to us special times in our faith journey as Christians… times set aside for preparation (Lent and Advent), times for growth and learning (ordinary time), times for equipping and inspiring (Pentecost), times for lament and celebration (for example: Easter and Christmas)
  • As we go through this circle of time, we experience the rhythm of God’s presence in our lives and learn of his steadfastness—his love and presence is as steady in our lives as the rhythmic ticking of the hands on a clock.
  • We acknowledge that there is a time for everything (Ecclesiastes 3) and embrace each of these moments of faith.

RAISE A GENERATION WHO LIVE OUT WHAT IT MEANS TO BE “FINDING GRACE, LIVING CHANGED”

Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.

PROVERBS 22:6

Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

DEUTERONOMY 11:18-19
