Why do we tithe?
Gracepoint is entirely reliant on donations from you who call Gracepoint your spiritual home, as well as from you who worship regularly.
Throughout Scripture, we are encouraged to give the first part of our resources to God as an expression of honor and gratitude. Proverbs 3:9 – 10 reminds us to “Honour God with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then He will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine.”
The tithe is 10% of each person’s income, and we are encouraged to offer this to God faithfully and cheerfully (2 Corinthians 9:7). Tithing is one way to worship God – to honor Him as our provider and to remind ourselves that all of our resources belong to Him and are provided through His grace.
