I come from a loving family and I’m the oldest of 4 children. My parents are fortunately still around and my siblings are still close, although in different countries! I married the man of my dreams when I was 32 and we had two gorgeous children, a daughter and a son. Unfortunately he passed away suddenly when my children were 4 and 2 years old. It has been a hard road however we’ve managed through it all and they are now nearly 18 and 16 years old.
I have a strong trust in the Lord and have been blessed with a very supportive family and many good friends – all this has kept me strong through 14 years of being an only parent. My daughter was however diagnosed with anorexia when she was 15 &1/2 ….. it was extremely tough but she is now doing so well and she is better than before!! Again, through God, his miracle and lots of commitment to the process she is healed from this illness as well as from other underlying hurts she has endured from losing her father so young. My son also feels the void of not having his dad around, especially as a rugby loving teenager. They are both good kids and we address various issues as they arise.
I’ve travelled and still love to travel, been in a career, run marathons, been a wife and mother and whilst I’m still all those things I am now looking at furthering my career in the management field. This is daunting however I’m seeing it as more of a challenge which will positively influence my life.
